Just a brief note today on the MLK files recently posted at the Mary Ferrell Foundation website (MFF). I did a post on these files in July 2025, available here.
The MFF versions of these files are thoroughly re-arranged, however, and should be consulted in most cases where anyone is interested in MLK-FBI issues.
Details of the MFF re-arrangement, and useful notes on the files in the MLK release are available here.
This massive task was done by Stu Wexler, co-author with Larry Hancock of the book The Awful Grace of God: Religious Terrorism, White Supremacy, and the Unasolved Murder of Martin Luther King, Jr.
As the word “unsolved” indications, Wexler believes that the FBI investigation was botched, and that there was an extensive conspiracy to kill King.
Conspiracy aside, Wexler certainly knows the documentary side of the case and took the time to perform the tedious task of sorting through the quarter million page MLK doc drop this year. Together with the usual superior MFF doc presentation and indexing, this is a valuable collection for anyone researching MLK assassination related matters.
