A new article from Tracy Parnell

Tracy Parnell has one of the best researched, best written JFK related blogs around. His latest post is on the complicated issue of CIA officer George Joannides. The article is available here.

Tracy has previously done a couple of illuminating posts on Joannides. I helped him with background research on this latest article, which focuses on what former HSCA General Counsel G. Robert Blakey has had to say about Joannides over the last couple of decades.

Blakey now has strongly negative things to say about Joannides in particular and CIA cooperation with the HSCA in general. There are tens of thousands of pages on the HSCA-CIA interactions in the JFKARC, so when Tracy mentioned this latest topic to me, I thought it was a great chance to start reading this material.

Blakey was an effective General Counsel in a long and complex investigation. But there are problems in his current statements when compared to ARC records. Read Tracy’s article for the details of what we found.

As for this blog, I have other work that is keeping me busy at the moment, but I should have some new notes up later this month. In the meantime, enjoy the summer!
